Hammer, Paint, Boil, Mix

It’s been a good week for getting stuff done. i assembled the bookshelf i made while at home for jonathan’s wedding (with lots of help from dad). and last night i boiled some sweet corn, potatoes and chopped up some other veggies for a really good cold salad thingy. A bit too much onion but nothing that ruined the dish. Overall, it was really good and went well with hot weather (which we are currently in the struggle with).

I started putting the back on my bookshelf now that i’ve gotten the painting done for the most park. i’ll flip it on it’s back and put a coat on the front at the bottom where i couldn’t quite get to it earlier but it’s getting really close to being complete. I think i’ll let it cure for a week until i put books on it (just to make sure it isn’t sticking to them). Then it’s ready for action. Yay. Probably at about the same time kori comes to visit. Then i can have the main room all organized to possibly pick up a table, even if it’s just a simple folding one.
