Campaholic

September 29th, 2006

There are many things that I have forgotten from my life. There is also a lot that I have remembered. My family has been a lot to me over the past 25ish years and I have many fond memories. The Cousins Campout is one of the best things I think about my childhood. Not many families are close that kids know their first and second cousins, especially in a large family like ours. The beginning of June has always held good times for us when we all get together for a weekend to camp, talk and laugh. There’s a fair amount of eating in there too.

I leave in a bit to go camping with Kori in Shenandoah National Park and I really find that I have missed camping with people this summer. Hopefully I can remedy that next year.  Nothing like starting the camping year at the end of September. ;)

  1. I know some great places for you to camp and I already have all the gear needed. You would just need to get here.

  2. Ben,

I’ve got 2 4-wheelers and will have an SUV in a week or two. If you can find a place down there to go on a weekend trip, I’ll bring them down. Otherwise, I have a buddy at work that I helped build his cabin in Snow Shoe, PA that has over 100 miles of trails that we ride at. It’s about 3 hrs northwest of Lancaster.

We don’t do too much “radical” riding. It’s mostly just a form of transportation to see the awesome mountains around. Let me know if you’re intersted.
