Feeding

October 19th, 2006

I decided that I was tired of opening up about 20-30 tabs in my browser to keep track of all the blogs and stuff that I read. So I set up RSS on Thunderbird (my email app - you should use it) and now it lets me know when there is new stuff to read. Yum. A few things I learned though about feeds for specific blog sites:

Xanga has RSS built in, just use this formula for a site: http://xanga.com/rss.aspx?user=USERNAME and you just replace USERNAME with whoever you want to subscribe to.

Livejournal also has feeds available. Simply end the website URI with /rss and you’re set. Today I will be checking out FeedBurner to see if that is something I want to use. I’ll keep you posted.
