Xmas 2006 (Part 1)

December 28th, 2006

Trisha & AbbyWe did the immediate family Christmas stuff on Christmas morning and it was all the good things it usually is. My haul included a movie, a gift card, a book, copious amounts of candy, and a really sweet food processor. I have only used the processor once since I got home Tuesday, but it’s amazingly powerful and good at it’s job. I made my Guacamole Verde and it was extra tasty with tacos tonight.

ChrisChristmas is changing for our family with Jonathan being married now and some of us traveling from our respective new homes to get together. It is hard to not be at home all the time but I think it really makes us appreciate the time we have together. I miss the family and yet I also love Virginia and hope that they can all come visit me. Perhaps I can infect them with mountains and the related joys of the mid-south too. I need to get a few days off this spring to head home for a bit and hang out. At least for Abby’s graduation, if not another time too.
