Parents:24 Kids: 1

December 24th, 2005

We finally won. For 24 years we had to open presents on xmas morning. No amount of begging, pleading, harping or violent protest on my brothers allowed us to open any presents earlier. We tried to get stockings early or just one present. No dice. However, my mom has to work the holiday this year. So we opened presents on xmas eve this year. It is wierd and i don’t really like it. My brother’s fiance was here too and that was wierd. So many changes and there are so many more to come.

I had to come to the realization that this was the last xmas that i will have here as a resident. Hopefully i will be out and about with new job and home in the next 7 months or so. Then i will have to come back for holiday things. And that is kinda starting to sink in. wow. the impending approach of real life. wow.

I did get a new coat, pants, fixed denim blanket, 3 dvds, a cd, and assorted other sundries. yippee!! plus, i have a promise of dinner and some shopping since my mom couldn’t find things for me that she liked and figured she’d just take me out :) yay! hello best buy, goodbye mom’s money… or something like that.
